Translation: Today is actually the last day of winter according to the calendar. It feels so good to allready being able to notice that the days are getting longer and longer. It tingles when I think about that I soon can hear the birds sing and see that everything comes to life outside again. Spring is a wonderful season!
Translation: I was very surprised to come across these zebra-garments on H&M’s websites today. It’s been said that the jumpsuit was sold out after only a few minutes, so I did not get the opportunity to order that. The dress on the other hand I managed to order before also that one was sold out during the day. It is a little longer than shown in this picture, so I will probably hem it to the pictured length if I decide to keep it.
Translation: I finally have winter vacation! Even though I’m going to work on a school project I’m sure that I will enjoy some lazy vacation days. Perhaps I go away to the cabin even though it’s not very tempting to meet mr snow again. At least one thing is certain; snow in the mountain is 10000 times better than snow in the city.
I have gotten some comments about my make up, and one of you asked what kind of makeup I use so I thought I’d just jump in it and make a post about my day makeup routine for those of you who wants to read it. I can honestly say that I don’t know much about this subject. Along the way have just found a way to do it that I think suits me, and I have randomly ended up with these products. I have no idea if I do it right, but my main goal is to make it look as natural as possible.
Skin: After cleaning my skin I put on the foundation primer from Gosh. Therafter I use the Touche éclat concealer from YSL to cover up the dark spots below my eyes and to cover up other flaws. With the big brush I put on foundation from i.d. with circular movements. For my skin tone I use the color “fairly light”. To get a fresher look I apply rouge from the Body Shop (color 05) with the medium brush by using circular movements along my cheekbones.
Eyebrows: To fill in my eyebrows I prefer to use an eyeshadow as this gives a softer and more natural look for me. In my case I think the darkest color from the ColorAppeal Trio Pro set from L’Oreal for green eyes suits me the best. It has a color that is similar to the natural color of my eyebrows. I also often use this shade, sometimes with wet eyeliner, for party make-up.
Eyes: On the eyes I start to cover the whole eyelid with the middle shadow from the Trippe Eyeshadow (06 Sandy Sky) from Isadora. In the corners I use the lightest shadow to get a “open” look for my eyes. For this I also sometimes apply a white eyeliner on the wet line below the eye. Close to the eyelashes I draw a soft line with a dark brown eyeliner (L’Oreal col. 215) from the middle of the eyelid to the end to mark my eyes. Sometimes I use eyeliner below my eyes too, but it depends on what look I want. I finish it all by using DiorShow mascara (090) on both the top and bottom eyelashes.
Lips: I don’t often use lipgloss or lipstick, but I am however addicted to lipbalm. My favorite at the moment is a Vitamin E one from the Body Shop.
Translation: The last weeks have been really busy, and as my shape has been as it has been school had to be in focus. Therefore I haven’t spent much time in front of the computer except from the time I’ve spent writing posts etc. To you that have sent mails I will get to respond them this weekend. I am sorry for the delay.

Translation: Finally the weather is warming up so that I can pull out some thinner jackets again. The trick is just to wear a woolen cardigan underneath to prevent yourself from freezing. Now I’m just waiting for the snow and ice to melt so that I can expand the use of shoes. These shoes have actually turned out to be the best ones I have got for the snowy streets. My flat shoes have very slippery soles that forces me to ice skate in the streets. These on the other hand has a good grip underneath the soles, and the thick heels makes the balancing part pleasant.
Dress, Monki. Scarf in waist, free gift from some magazine. Cardigan, Vero Moda.

Jobbantrekket i dag.
Translation: Workoutfit for today. It is simple and neutral as it usually is when I go to work.
I’m wearing a new, plain, simple loose dress of the type you can dress up and down as you prefer.
It feels like I’ve been searching for one like forever now, and finally I found one - in Sweden.
Translation: In Sweden I came across a punkstore where they sold studded bracelets.
I bought one of them, but I think I might need more after looking through this set of pictures.
On Tuesday I was in Sweden. The airplane went 6 o’clock in the morning from Kristiansand to Oslo, and thereafter I switched plane towards Stockholm. At the airport I was met by a Taxi that brought me to the center of the city. In Stockholm I had a couple of hours free that I spent on effective shopping before I hasted off to what I really was in Stockholm to do; visiting the White Room, the headquarter of H&M’s designteam, that was one of the prices of the Norwegian Fashion blog 08-competition.
Anna Maria Mohlin in the meetingroom
Mildly stressed out I arrived the reseption where I was met by Catarina Midby which is fashion communication responsible and Anna Maria Mohlin from the press-department. I was brought to the room you can see at the photo of Anna Maria where it was prepared for lunch. We sat there and talked a little about blogging, about H&M and about how they have grown as a company since they first started. After little while Margareta van den Bosch came in. As many of you might know she was the head designer at H&M for many many years until she recently semi-retired and started to work as a creative counsler. She has been responsible for H&M’s design collaborations and will continue with that. This spring H&M will collaborate with Matthew Williamson. While Margareta was sitting in there we were talking about her background, trends, inspiration, vintage, designers and H&M to mention some.
Margareta van den Bosch and Matthew Williamson
After a while Margareta and Catarina went, and in came Ann-Sofie Johansson which is the current head designer. She has been working her way up in the company for over 20 years, and has now been head designer for about a year. I must honestly admit that I was very excited and nervous before going to the white room, but all the people there were very kind. The chat went on easy and it was all in all a very positive experience. I have added a film clip where Ann-Sofie talks about the trends of this spring for those who are interested. At H&M they plan collections one year ahead of time, so they are allready planning the collection for next spring.
It all happened very fast, and unfortunately I forgot about my camera before both Margareta and Ann-Sofie had disappeared. Now afterwards that bothers me a lot, but there is not excactly something that I can do about it. The only thought I had in my head while they were there was what to talk to them about. It’s not easy to be in a situation like that for the very first time.
Catarina Midby in front of the vintage collection
After Ann-Sofie had left Catarina Midby came back and together with Anna Maria she gave me a guided tour in the white room. I got to meet the people sitting there from different departments. They have different departments for illustrations, colors, garment, webshop and design to mention some. H&M is so big, and it is strange to think about the fact that everything that happens with H&M out in the world is being controlled from that little room. Above there is a photo of Catarina in front of the vintage collection they use for inspiration. It was a lot of top-secret things I was not allowed to take pictures of so I leave you with a photo of their inspirational books in the hallway. As you probably understand the white room is filled with inspirational sources like books, toys, movies, clothes and pictures.
After being there for about 2 1/2 hours I had about an hour to check out the vintage store called Beyond Retro that I was recommended by the people at H&M to check out before heading home. I was very tired from all the travelling, shopping and guiding so I just walked around in there looking before the taxi came to take me back to the airport. I arrived Kristiansand about 23 the same day and have stayed at home in the sofa the time after that. - But it was definitely worth it!
