New pieces to the wardrobe. I got these and some basics. The problem that occurs when finding good basics is that it’s hard to stick with just one color. That’s not good for my wallet for sure..

Forsøk på forklaring:

1. Først tuperte jeg store deler av håret og tok i litt hårspray her og der mens jeg bustet det til med andre hånden. Deretter kammet jeg det øverste håret glatt og tok luggen bak i en spenne.

2. På baksiden flettet jeg en rotflette som jeg festet med strikk i bunnen. Det håret som ble til overs, dvs. i hestehalen, dyttet jeg inn ved å lage en åpning mellom strikken og hårfestet. Jeg bøyde håret inn mot røttene sånn at strikken også kom ute av syne. 

3. For å få det til å sitte festet jeg en hårnål/lusespenne rett over der strikken satt, i tillegg festet jeg et par lusespenner her og der hvor jeg følte at det ble litt løst.

4. Til slutt sprayet jeg over det hele med en finishing spray for at det skulle holde.

Attempt on explaining:

1. First I combed large parts of the hair towards the hair direction and added some hairspray here and there while messing it up with the other hand. Thereafter I combed the top-hair to make it look neat and pulled back my bangs with a hair-pin.

2. In the back I made a french braid that I attatched with a hairband at the bottom of the braid. The left over hair, aka. the hair in the ponytail, I tucked in by making a gap between the band and the hair roots. I bended the hair towards the roots so that the hairband got out of sight.

3. To make it stay there I attatched a hair-pin right above where the hairband was and in addition I attatched some hair-pins here and there where I felt it was a little loose.

4. In the end I sprayed over it all with a finishing spray to make it hold.

A rainy Saturday night in Oslo

Vel, mangelen på blogging de siste par dagene skyltes en spontan tur til Oslo i helgen. Dette bildet er så og si det eneste jeg har derfra. Jeg er ikke akkurat flink til å dokumentere øyeblikkene.. Lørdag satt jeg på bussen i fem timer, dro på en konsert og var deretter på afterparty på hangover. Søndagen hadde jeg hangover og brukte dagen til å ikke gjøre noe som helst. I går hadde jeg omtrent en time til å shoppe før bussen gikk så jeg angrep Trend avdelingene over på H&M ettersom jeg har gavekort der. Det var en gøy helg, men det er veldig godt å være hjemme igjen.

Well, the lack of blogging the last couple of days was caused by an spontaneous trip to Oslo for the weekend. This photo is pretty much what I got from there. I’m not excactly good at documenting the moments.. Saturday I sat on the bus for five hours, went to a concert and then I was at the afterparty at hangover. Sunday I had hangover and spent the day doing nothing. Yesterday I had about an hour to do some shopping before my bus left so I attacked the Trend departments over at H&M as I have a giftcard there. It was a fun weekend, but it’s good to be back home again.

De siste månedene har jeg så og si følt meg tvunget til å enten sette opp håret eller krølle det. Jeg driver nemlig og sparer til lengre hår igjen, og for øyeblikket har jeg samme sveis som the Hanson Brothers på sine glansdager når jeg ikke gjør noe med det. Med andre ord er det verken langt eller kort og ikke veldig pent. Heldigvis er det langt nok til å sette opp i en tutt når jeg ikke orker å stresse med det. Skulle bare ønske det kunne vokse liiiitt fortere. I mellomtiden får jeg prøve å leve med å se ut som en Hanson Sister.

The last months I’ve nearly been feeling forced to either put up my hair or curl it. You see I’m saving up for longer hair again, and at the moment I have the same hair-do as the Hanson Brothers during their shiny days when I don’t do anything with it. By using other words it’s neither short or long and it’s not very pretty. Luckily it’s long enough to pull up when I don’t bother to stress with it. I just wish it could grow a liiiittle faster. In the meanwhile I’ll try to survive looking as a Hanson Sister.

Det er søndag, og det er nok flere enn meg som sitter hjemme i dag. Derfor tenkte jeg at jeg skulle dele en blogg med dere. I går shoppet jeg med ei venninne og spontant poppet det ut av meg “Jeg hater meg selv!” etter å ha innsett at ca 8 av de 10 tingene jeg bar rundt på var sorte. Jeg plukker stadig sorte plagg uten å engang merke det. Jeg trenger virkelig å åpne øynene mine for farger, og disse bildene fra den nye Minimarket kolleksjonen inspirerer meg definitivt til å se forbi det sorte.

Yesterday I was shopping with a friend and I spontaneously shouted out “I hate myself!” after realizing that about 8 out of 10 items I was carrying were black. I keep picking all the black without even being aware of it. I really need to open my eyes for colors, and these pictures of the new Minimarket collection definitely inspire me to look beyond black.
