Those hidden things

Vero Moda dress. Gina Tricot vest and ring. H&M belt. Aldo heels.

I have no idea why I have neglected these heels for so long. They’re actually one of my favorite pairs, but somehow they haven’t been the first choice when picking shoes. It may be hard to see in these pictures but the platform on the shoes are mirrored. Leather, “metal” and wood definitely work great together!

Autumn leaves

Zara blouse. Only faux leatherjacket and pants. DinSko boots. Gina Tricot bag.

Pearls and lace

H&M bustier

Today I started on a DIY I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. While I was in Oslo, Maria and I visited a vintage shop where she found this gorgeous vintage bustier. Ever since that moment I’ve been searching for the right one to have a DIY project with. You can imagine how happy I was to find this one at H&M. I will show you more pictures of it when I’m done.

Purple

Cubus mesh top. Indiska necklace. H&M skirt, tube top and dotted tights. American Apparel tube bra. Gina Tricot cardigan and bag.

I wore this as a night outfit as well. I just skipped the tights, wore different heels,
changed the bag into a clutch, curled my hair and dropped the cardigan.
Voila and you’re good to go out dancing.

Playing with texture

H&M knit sweater. Gina Tricot fringe tee.
Vero Moda leggings. Glitter necklace.

The fringes belong to a tee underneath the sweater, so it’s not a fringed knit sweater. And the chains are from a necklace that I fastened to the sweater by using the lock on one side and attatched the other with a safety pin.

AWESOMENESS! I’ve been having these on my mind ever since I saw them on Lines blog.
If I could I would definitely include them in my fall/winter wardrobe without even blinking.
Or, forget about seasons - I could wear these on any day.

Last bit of summer

Vila blouse. Gina Tricot skirt and silver accessories. H&M bag. Surface 2 Air sandals.

These were taken a while ago during late summer. There is something about sunkissed skin that makes you look fresh at any time. Well, it’s only about 9 months left until we get our 2 months weeks of summer. Positive thinking. And oh, this Saturday I got to enjoy the last bit of summer that is still here: the wasps. I was stinged by one while sleeping and I reacted a tiny bit allergic so about 1/4 of my upper arm has been red, sore, consistently itchy and burning the last days. Luckily it’s about to go away.. And today I burnt my hand on boiling water. Yes, I’m still waiting for my luck to turn. At least it went ok as I managed to cool it down immedeatly.

Addition to my fall wardrobe

Vero Moda dress

The photo doesn’t really do this dress justice. The sheer fabric and the shape minimates the curtain-effect a lot. I see endless possibilities with this dress. It can be used to channel different types of styles like folklore/ethnic bohemian and hippie style to mention some. It all depends on the accessories you wear it with. As strange as it might sound I’m crazy about this kind of print. I’ve always been drawn to curtains, pillows, porcelain and so on with this old look to it. I think it has a link to my interest in history and fascination for older times.
